Tour packages

Chhattisgarh,
mapped out for you.

Routes we drive often enough to know where the road roughens, where the food is good, and how long each stop really takes. All departing from Raipur, in a vehicle you pick and at a fare agreed before the wheels turn.

How it works

A package is a starting point, not a straitjacket

Every route below can be shortened, stretched or rearranged. Tell us the days you have and who is travelling, and we will rework the itinerary around that before quoting.

01

Pick a route

Choose one below, or describe the trip you have in mind and we will build it.

02

Fix the vehicle

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, chauffeur driven and sized to the group and the road.

03

Agree the fare

A written figure covering fuel, driver duty and night halt. Tolls and permits at actuals.

04

Travel

Driver name and number the evening before. The desk stays reachable through the trip.

The routes

Every route we run as a package

12 itineraries across Chhattisgarh and just beyond it. Filter by the kind of trip, or read them all — the differences are mostly in how much driving each day asks of you.

Chitrakote Falls & Bastar
Family Nature

Chitrakote Falls & Bastar

The widest waterfall in India, at its most dramatic once the rains arrive. Paired with the limestone caves and forest trails of Kanger Valley.

  • RouteRaipur → Jagdalpur → Chitrakote → Tirathgarh → Kutumsar
  • VehicleMaruti Suzuki Ertiga
  • Length3 days / 2 nights
  • SeasonJuly to February

Long driving days on the Jagdalpur leg, so the extra legroom of an Innova is usually worth the difference. If your dates fall on a Sunday we will work the Jagdalpur haat into the return.

Sirpur Heritage Run
Family Weekend

Sirpur Heritage Run

Sixth-century brick temples and Buddhist vihara ruins on the bank of the Mahanadi, an easy morning from Raipur. Pairs well with Barnawapara.

  • RouteRaipur → Sirpur → Barnawapara → Raipur
  • VehicleMaruti Suzuki Ertiga
  • LengthDay trip
  • SeasonOctober to March

Leave by 7am and you are back for dinner. Add the Barnawapara safari and it becomes a comfortable overnight instead.

Dongargarh & Ratanpur Darshan
Family Pilgrimage

Dongargarh & Ratanpur Darshan

Maa Bamleshwari on the hill at Dongargarh and Mahamaya Devi at Ratanpur, planned around darshan timings with unhurried halts.

  • RouteRaipur → Dongargarh → Ratanpur → Raipur
  • VehicleMaruti Suzuki Ertiga
  • Length2 days / 1 night
  • SeasonYear round

Busiest during Navratri, when it is worth booking a week ahead. Tell us if anyone in the group needs the Dongargarh ropeway and the driver will drop at the lower station.

Mainpat Hill Weekend
Nature Weekend

Mainpat Hill Weekend

Chhattisgarh’s own hill station — Tibetan settlements, the Jaljali bouncing ground, Tiger Point falls and genuinely cool evenings.

  • RouteRaipur → Ambikapur → Mainpat → Raipur
  • VehicleMaruti Suzuki Ertiga
  • Length3 days / 2 nights
  • SeasonSeptember to February

The last stretch onto the plateau is narrow and slow. Carry a light jacket even in September — evenings on Mainpat run much cooler than Raipur.

Bhoramdeo & Kawardha
Pilgrimage Weekend

Bhoramdeo & Kawardha

The eleventh-century stone temple set against the Maikal hills, often called the Khajuraho of Chhattisgarh, plus the Madwa Mahal nearby.

  • RouteRaipur → Kawardha → Bhoramdeo → Raipur
  • VehicleMaruti Suzuki Ertiga
  • LengthDay trip or overnight
  • SeasonOctober to March

Doable in a long day, but the temple is at its best in early light, which means an overnight at Kawardha and a 6am start.

Amarkantak & Achanakmar
Nature Pilgrimage

Amarkantak & Achanakmar

The source of the Narmada on the Maikal range, approached through the sal forests and tiger reserve at Achanakmar.

  • RouteRaipur → Bilaspur → Achanakmar → Amarkantak
  • VehicleMaruti Suzuki Ertiga
  • Length3 days / 2 nights

This one crosses into Madhya Pradesh, so an interstate permit applies and is billed at actuals. The Achanakmar road closes to through traffic after dark and we plan the day around it.

Gangrel & Dhamtari Weekend
Family Nature Weekend

Gangrel & Dhamtari Weekend

The Ravishankar Sagar backwaters at Gangrel, with water sports and lakeside camps — ninety minutes from the city and the easiest escape on this list.

  • RouteRaipur → Dhamtari → Gangrel → Raipur
  • VehicleMaruti Suzuki Ertiga
  • LengthDay trip or overnight
  • SeasonAugust to February

Good roads the whole way and short enough that a late start still works. Tell us if you want the driver to wait through the boating rather than return.

Rajim & Champaran Circuit
Family Pilgrimage Weekend

Rajim & Champaran Circuit

The Rajivlochan temple where three rivers meet, and the birthplace of Saint Vallabhacharya at Champaran a short drive on.

  • RouteRaipur → Champaran → Rajim → Raipur
  • VehicleMaruti Suzuki Ertiga
  • LengthDay trip
  • SeasonYear round

A gentle half-day for elders, with almost no walking. During the Rajim Kumbh in Magh the approach roads are diverted and the run takes longer — we allow for it.

Satrenga & Korba Lakeside
Nature Weekend

Satrenga & Korba Lakeside

The Hasdeo backwaters at Satrenga — a quiet stretch of water and forest that most visitors to Chhattisgarh never hear about.

  • RouteRaipur → Bilaspur → Korba → Satrenga
  • VehicleMaruti Suzuki Ertiga
  • Length2 days / 1 night
  • SeasonOctober to March

Rooms at Satrenga are limited to a handful of cottages, so this one needs booking well ahead. Worth it for the morning on the water.

Jagannath darshan at Puri and the Sun Temple at Konark, driven straight through from Raipur, or broken with a night at Sambalpur.

  • RouteRaipur → Jagdalpur → Dantewada → Barsur → Chitrakote
  • VehicleMaruti Suzuki Ertiga
  • Length4 days / 3 nights
  • SeasonOctober to February

Deeper Bastar than the standard run, on roads that want a driver who has done them before. We keep this route to daylight driving as a rule.

When to go

The season decides half the trip

Chhattisgarh looks like a different state in July than it does in December. A short guide to what each stretch of the year is good for.

July to September

Monsoon. Chitrakote at full width, and the best months for waterfalls anywhere in Bastar. Forest roads are slower and some cave routes close.

October to December

The easiest travelling weather of the year. Everything on this page is open and the driving days are comfortable. Book early — this is peak season.

January to February

Cool mornings, clear light, and the Rajim Kumbh if your dates fall in Magh. Good for heritage circuits and long photography days.

March to June

Hot on the plains, so we plan early starts and longer midday halts. Mainpat and Amarkantak stay pleasant when Raipur does not.

Something else in mind

Tell us the trip and we will build the route

Most bookings do not fit a package. Wedding parties spread across three towns, a plant audit with four site visits in a day, a wheelchair that needs loading, a baby seat. Describe it and we will come back with a plan and a number.

Wedding & guest movement Child seats on request GST corporate invoicing Custom temple circuits
  • Multi-day, multi-town. One vehicle and one driver for the whole itinerary, so nobody re-explains the plan every morning.
  • Elders and children. Slower schedules, more halts, help at temple climbs, and a driver briefed on it beforehand.
  • Groups over seven. A Tempo Traveller, or two vehicles kept together on the road with the same halts.
  • Late arrivals. Airport and station pickups after midnight are routine for us, with no extra waiting charge on tracked flights.
Questions

About the packages

Can I change the itinerary once it is booked?
Small changes on the road — an extra stop, a later start, skipping something — are fine, just tell the driver. Changes that add distance or an extra night affect the fare, so we will confirm the new figure with you before doing them.
Do you book the hotels as well?
We can. Hotels, forest rest houses and lakeside cottages are billed separately at what they cost us. On routes with limited rooms, such as Satrenga or Mainpat, booking through us well in advance is usually the practical option.
Is there a minimum daily running distance?
On multi-day packages, yes. It is stated in your quote, typically 250–300 km a day depending on the route. You are not charged for distance you do not use beyond that minimum.
How many people fit in each vehicle?

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga — 6 passengers with 3 large bags.

Groups larger than that are handled by hiring a second vehicle, or by arranging a Tempo Traveller from a partner operator — tell us the head count and we will quote both options.

Do packages start only from Raipur?
The itineraries assume a Raipur start, since that is where our vehicles are based. We do pick up from Bhilai, Durg, Bilaspur and Jagdalpur — the fare adjusts for the positioning run and we will tell you by how much.
What if the weather ruins the plan?
It happens, particularly in the monsoon when a forest road closes. The driver will know before you do, and we rework the day rather than waste it. If a night has to be dropped, the fare comes down accordingly.
